GBCI® recently announced that the SITES Accredited Professional (SITES AP) credential launches on Oct. 1, 2016. The SITES AP credential establishes a common framework to define the profession of sustainable landscape design and development, and also provides landscape professionals with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, expertise and commitment to the profession.

Headed to this year’s Greenbuild? To help you plan your days, we’ve listed all of the offerings focused on the SITES AP

  • The first sponsored testing opportunity for the SITES AP exam will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at a testing center in Culver City, California. The exam is open to both Greenbuild attendees and those who are not attending the conference. Seats are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Register now to reserve your seat.
  • Stop by the SITES booth #1419 to get your questions about the SITES AP answered. Khunteang Pa, Director of Credentialing at GBCI, will be available to answer questions at the booth from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and from 12–2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. Subject matter experts will also be available to discuss the SITES AP throughout the conference at the booth and the GBCI Certification Work Zone.
  • Attend “Driving Sustainability Beyond the Building: SITES Updates” on Friday, Oct. 7 from 9:30–10:30 a.m. This session will preview exciting new developments in the launch of the SITES AP program. Attendees will become familiar with the applications of the SITES rating system, be able to name key components of the SITES AP program, learn about the first SITES v2-certified projects and understand key ways that SITES can be integrated into projects and professional practice.
