Report

The Preliminary Report on the Standards and Guidelines was released in November 2007 (see pdf below).   The purpose of this report was to provide a snapshot of the first findings of the initiative with the intention of collecting feedback from professionals and stakeholders. This report is the work of a broad-based and diverse group of experts in the fields of landscape  architecture, horticulture, conservation, sustainable design, civil and environmental engineering, ecology, hydrology, forestry, soils, planning, public health, outdoor recreation, and other disciplines.  It is based on a thorough and comprehensive review of the science available on sustainability as well as best practices in the industries involved.
           
An updated draft on the Standards and Guidelines will be released in November 2008 and also be open for public review.
