The Green at College Park at the University of Texas at Arlington

The Green at College Park is a pioneering project on the campus of The University of Texas at Arlington. It is a native and adapted plant garden and park which predominately functions as an ecological water detention system and large-scale raingarden. The 2.6-acre site includes a gathering plaza, activity lawn, pedestrian promenade, shade arbors, layers of seating and pedestrian amenities. The park sits adjacent to a new mixed-use development that includes a 7,000-seat special events center, apartments, single family homes, office, retail, and, of course, educational uses.
